☀️ Antalya is a city in southern Turkey, located on the Mediterranean coast. It has a typical Mediterranean climate: hot and dry summers, mild and rainy winters. Here’s a simple guide to Antalya’s weather and climate:
Winter (December, January, February)
❄️ Winters in Antalya are quite mild. Average temperatures range between 10-15°C (50-59°F). January is the coldest month, but temperatures rarely drop below 0°C (32°F). Rain is common during winter, but snow is very rare and usually occurs in the mountainous areas.
👗 What to Wear: Light sweaters, jackets, and raincoats are recommended. Waterproof shoes and an umbrella can be very useful.
Spring (March, April, May)
🌸 Spring is generally mild and a great time to visit and explore Antalya. Temperatures range from 15-20°C (59-68°F) in March and rise to 20-25°C (68-77°F) in May. Rain decreases, and the days become sunnier, though occasional rain showers are still possible.
👗 What to Wear: Light jackets, cardigans, and long-sleeve shirts are ideal. A hat and sunglasses will be helpful on sunny days.
Summer (June, July, August)
🌞 Summers in Antalya are hot and dry. Average temperatures range between 30-35°C (86-95°F) and can sometimes exceed 40°C (104°F). Rain is almost nonexistent, making it perfect for beach tourism. The sea temperature is also high.
👗 What to Wear: Light and breathable clothing, T-shirts, shorts, thin dresses, hats, and sunglasses are recommended. Don’t forget sunscreen!
Autumn (September, October, November)
🍂 Autumn is when temperatures start to cool and rain begins to increase slowly. In September, temperatures are still around 25-30°C (77-86°F), but by November, they drop to 15-20°C (59-68°F). Rain becomes more frequent, but the weather remains generally mild.
👗 What to Wear: Light jackets, sweaters, pants, and closed-toe shoes are suitable. Carrying an umbrella or raincoat is also a good idea.
